Carnitine is a non-essential amino acid synthesized in the body by Lysine. Its most well-known metabolic function of carnitine is the long-chain transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria of muscle cells (including myocardium) for oxidation.

Digestion time: Less than 30 minutes
